Rent The Runway Opens Its First Chicago Boutique

After opening brick-and-mortar shops in New York City, Washington D.C., and Las Vegas, Rent the Runway is finally arriving in Chicago later this month. And, the news gets even better: Along with a rotating inventory of thousands of designer pieces, the 2,940-square-foot store will showcase some of the Windy City's most successful businesswomen. How cool is that?

"Our business is grounded in female entrepreneurship, so we’re excited to showcase and support like-minded Chicago women through our website and social media,” Rent the Runway CEO Jenn Hyman tells us.

While the Gold Coast outpost officially opens its doors on April 30. Ahead, preview some of the seriously cool designer goods that Chicago girls are going to love!

"Black-and-white graphic looks were a major statement at New York Fashion Week," Mullevey says. " We love this Cushnie Et Ochs style direct from the runway, for a spring wedding at the Chicago History Museum."

"No need to overdo black-tie with this chic silhouette," Mullevey says. "This gown is perfect for an event like the Make-A-Wish Wish Ball."

"This jumpsuit is right on trend with culottes for spring '15, and perfect for a stroll along the lakefront before brunch," Mullevey says.

"Clean and simple lines from Christian Siriano," Mullevey says. "This body con dresses is exclusively ours in aqua, and would go well with drinks at Drumbar."

"Abstract prints are a must this season," Mullevey says. "This one has great colors and an easy silhouette for many figure types. Wear it while enjoying the beautiful views of Lincoln Park and sipping on drinks at J. Parker!"

"Bring back the '70s vibe with this retro-style, wide-legged jumpsuit," Mullevey says. "Style with a blazer for work, and then add a statement necklace for dinner at Nellcôte."

"A Little White Dress is a must for any bride shopping for her bridal shower, luncheon, or rehearsal dinner," Mullevey says. "Or, dress it down with sandals and a cardigan while you pick up flowers at Green City Market."

"Add a hint of gentle shine with this midi-length dress for any wedding, from a traditional fete at the Museum of Contemporary Art to a modern gathering at Room 1520," Mullevey says.

"Make a statement at Zoo Ball at Lincoln Park Zoo with this open-back gown," Mullevey says.
